In the past few years, the fast development of the high speed train in china has been attracting attention from all over the world. The high speed railway spread half of China. Plenty of main cities across China offer high speed trains to Guilin, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Shanghai. It is much more convenient and easier to reach Guilin from other cities in China.

Guilin now has developed 3 railway stations for you to choose from – Guilin Railway Station (桂林站), Guilin North Railway Station (桂林北站) and Guilin West Railway Station (桂林西站). The Guilin Railway Station stands nearest to the heart of the Guilin City, the Guilin North Railway Station, the second nearest and the Guilin West Railway Station the furthest. The Guilin West Railway Station is the least populated due to its location. Please book your tickets at least two or three days in advance. For holidays, book tickets a couple of weeks in advance.

Guilin Railway Station
The Guilin Railway Station is so-called “Guilin South Station”(桂林南站) by locals in Guilin. It is the most leading passenger railway station. With its location in the centre of Guilin (Xiangshan District(象山区)), almost all the trains passing Guilin stop here.

Guilin North Railway Station
Guiin North Railway Station is about 30 minutes’ drive from the downtown of Guilin, with the routes starting from Guilin to Kunming(昆明), Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hunan Province(湖南省), Beijing and other destinations. At the present, it is the hub for high-speed trains in Guilin.

Guilin West Railway Station
With the routes to Guizhou Province(贵州省), Guangzhou and other destinations, the Guilin West Railway Station has been open since 2016. It is 11.8 kilometres away from the downtown of Guilin. It is the newest high-speed train station in Guilin at the present.
