Located about 35km northwest of Guilin City, Jiuwu Old Town features the special ecotourism and its cultural and historical tours because Jiangtou Village, also called “Qingguan (honest and upright official) Village” under the administration of Jiuwu Old Town is about 800 years old and enriched by the ancient buildings originally built in Ming (1368 – 1644) and Qing (1644 – 1911) Dynasties. The village is the most recommended to visit around Jiuwu. More than 180 houses 60% of which are built in Ming and Qing Dynasties stands here for ages. The houses whose walls are mostly made of wood are built in blue bricks and grey tiles. The horizontal inscribed boards for family status and the horizontal inscribed boards granted by the emperors in the ancient China are well-preserved here.

The distinctive buildings, such as “Girl Building (Guinv Lou)”, “Boy’s Bed (Gongzi Chuang)”, “Xiucai (one who passed the imperial examination at the county level) Street” and “Juren (a successful candidate in the imperial examinations at the provincial level in the Ming and Qing dynasties) Lane” make the village more appealing.

Apart from, the village also houses the descendents of Dunyi Zhou, the famous writer, philosopher and founder of neo-Confucianism in Beisong Dynasty. Therefore, it is endowed with rich cultural heritage. In the village, you can discover its buildings and its unique culture.
